Drumming In Music

   Last year the wonderful CFES PTO came to me and asked if there was something I would like for my classroom.  I told them that I would love to have a classroom set of djembes and they made it happen.  

   We are already using them in our classes and below you can see a short video of 5th grade using them along withe song, "Haida."  

   It's going to be a great year in music. I am going to try very hard to keep my blog updated this year with what is happening in music class. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me. 

2nd Grade Musical

The Bear Went Over the Mountain

January 16th at 6:30 at CFES

    This year in second grade we will be performing the music, "The Bear Went Over the Mountain."  We are finally going to see what he could see.  Second grade classes will be working on the music all year long and will be performing it on January 16th at 6:30.  I send home more information closer to the end of the year but if you have any questions please let me know. 

The Reviews Are In

The reviews are in and Pirates the Musical was a huge success!  Congratulations to all fifth graders for a fantastic show.

5th Grade Musical

Pirates the Musical 

January 17th at 6:30

    This year in 5th grade we are lucky enough to be performing a great musical straight from the high seas.   We will be working on this musical in class from now until the performance on January 17th.  It's tells the story of a stowaway that sneaks onto the ship and wants to be a pirate. Will the King of the High Cs let the stowaway stay or will the pirates get their way and throw the land lubber overboard?  Sail on over on January 17th to find out.
